SbS survey in Mekong delta (day 2)

Tan Thanh beach, Go Cong district, Tien Giang province

Low-tide at 08:00 am and we were there at Tan Thanh muddy beach, the main site that Spoonies were observed often recently.  After half an hour, Quang and Thien found 1, they foned me to inform. I myself was about 2 km away and was walking other direction.   20 minutes later, fone ringed again, Quang told me there are 2 spoonies together, he didn’t have camera to take picture, shame!
Well, I trying to check every single small waders, they came out to me only Curlew, Broad-billed and Terek Sandpipers, lot of Little Stint, several Red-necked Stint and a couple Nordmann's Greenshank, no Spoon-bulled Sandpiper for me.
09:27 - Quang and Thien was walking further away and they found the fourth spoony, they weren’t sure same or different from the other three.
I decided stay at one spot, waiting for tide comes up in hoping water push birds to me… and I was luck.  11:00 am, in the distance, I saw a small bird feeding very fast, I guessed it could be… and yes, it was.
As I was afraid the BIRD would flew away if I tried to get closer, I decided to take distance pictures and video them for record only.
Spoon-billed Sandpiper

Nordmann's Greenshank
In conclusion, it was a lucky day, there were at least 3 Spoon-billed Sandpipers observed. Other birds recorded as table, the beach is too large to count exact number, we only estimated count.
